Therapy

Psychotherapy, therapy, counseling, are all terms to describe the process of challenging thought patterns, gaining insight into one’s emotions and behaviors, and creating new, healthy thought patterns and coping skills to become our best selves.

We utilize a diverse mix of therapeutic tools, based on evidence-based practices and therapies depending on the needs of our patients.

Our focus is ADHD, but we also specialize in other co-occurring disorders such as anxiety, depression, trauma, learning differences, and women’s issues.

FAQ

+ Do you accept insurance?

Our practice does not accept insurance, but your insurance can be applied to your medication costs at the pharmacy, if you have pharmacy benefits.

If you have PPO insurance, as a courtesy to our patients, we will submit a Superbill to your insurance provider for out-of-network reimbursement. We will do this for your initial visit and every refill consult. See the “Insurance” section of our FAQ to learn how much you can get reimbursed.

Your insurance provider will then reimburse you directly the amount allowed within your insurance plan (insurance plan specifics vary). You can submit all costs including your first visit and all refill service fees.

Both FSA and HSA will cover treatment from our office.

+ If I'm currently taking stimulant medication and want to add additional therapy for my ADHD, which therapy treatment is best?

Aside from medication therapy, our office believes that CBT is the next best treatment for ADHD, and research suggests that it helps adults with ADHD more than other forms of psychotherapy.

Determining the best therapy will be determined during your first appointment with your therapist.
